My biggest fear is seeing my family or friends struggle financially. Honestly, I don’t want to see anyone have to go through unnecessary financial stress if it can be avoided.
In 2018, my life took a turn when I found myself in a challenging financial situation. Despite working full-time, my bank account held less than $100, while $15,000 in student loans loomed over me with minimum payments draining my resources. I resigned myself to accepting this as the norm for the next 15-20 years. However, a pivotal moment arrived when I heeded the advice of my mentors and embraced a transformative mindset shift.
By implementing powerful changes to my lifestyle, I accomplished an incredible feat - by February 2020, I triumphantly paid off my student loans in full. This marked the beginning of my journey towards attaining financial freedom. Today, my mission is to empower others who find themselves in similar circumstances, equipping them with the knowledge, tools, and resources needed to conquer their financial challenges and secure their desired future.
With an Associate’s in Information Systems Technology, I am currently working towards a Bachelor’s in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance with plans of continuing that into a Master’s degree. Currently a certified CompTIA Secure Infrastructure Specialist (CSIS), I intend to add to the collection of certifications to become a Network Security Consultant.
